Welcome back to my blog! This week I tried out some gel-based face moisturisers. It's very important to moisturise your face and neck twice a day being morning and night after cleansing. Your skin is constantly needing to be hydrated and replenished, moisturising can eliminate any dry skin.
The first product I tried this week was the People for Plants Hydration Gel. People for Plants is an Australian brand and is 96% certified organic. The Cucumber and Aloe Vera scent reminded me of being at a day spa. Immediately after putting on the gel I felt it absorb almost in seconds and my skin felt soft and hydrated. The cucumber works as an astringent, tightening and refreshing the skin while also containing aloe vera for soothing of the skin where the vitamin C helps for hydration. Aloe vera also contains anti-oxidants, amino acids and minerals to maintain skin health and youth! This hydration gel can be used as a light moisturiser, an after-sun treatment or even as a hydration mask.
The second product I tried was the ECO Tea Tree Face Gel. ECO products are made in Australia and are natural and organic, not tested on animals and free from parabens.
As someone who has oily & acne prone skin this product would be the perfect gel or moisturiser for that skin type. Australian tea tree has world-renown & amazing antibacterial properties, while the cucumber, camomile and vitamin B are healing, soothing and will calm the skin. This lightweight gel provides the skin with balance and controls oil flow throughout the day. Containing alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) from the apple, it gently removes any dead skin cells and refines the pores for a smoother skin texture.
Both of these gels did not irritate my skin and shouldn't because of the ingredients included. I highly recommend these products if you're looking to switch up your moisturiser in your skin care routine. I especially recommend the Tea Tree Gel for those with oily skin - any products with tea tree in them are heavenly for soaking up those oils.
