Jacqueline Evans products source natural and certified organic ingredients. Her philosophy is that it's not just what you put into your body that's important but also what you put on your skin. The skin is the largest organ and it absorbs everything we put on it. So why not put nourishing, hydrating ingredients to get the best result we want for our skin and body.
This scrub was amazing! It comes in a jar and is easy to distribute evenly over your face and neck. The scent was refreshing with the obvious ingredient, chamomile. Chamomile is soothing for the skin along with vitamin E oil and lavender oil. This scrub is based on powered walnut shells and it feels gentle and luxurious all at the same time. This scrub will remove dead skin cells to uncover your glowing skin, it stimulates circulations and encourages cellular renewal within the skin. This scrub will show you immediate results - my skin is left feeling smooth and just like new!
Miód Almond Face Scrub is very unique. It's in a jar and is a dry powder with almond meal, prunes, walnut shell and lavender flowers. The idea behind this scrub is you can add water or oil to make it a paste (the oil I would use would be sweet almond oil). You get a small amount of the scrub and decide whether you want a thicker paste using the oil or a lighter scrub by adding water to the scrub. The result? Unbelievable! Although I have used a scrub like this in the past, I had yet to try Miód's version. To many this might sound like a complicated chore but it's so simple and so quick. Miód follow a strict criterion in order to find the best ingredients. The ingredients must be natural, not tested on animals, no chemicals, contains no GMO’s, certified organic if possible and locally sourced if possible.
This almond face scrub is a beautiful and delicate product. It gently exfoliates, cleanses and stimulates circulation in the skin. This dry scrub leaves your skin looking and feeling amazing! (Miód does note that you can use this scrub dry and not add any liquids but you can decide for yourself what you're comfortable using).
Tips for exfoliation!
The 2 scrubs are amazing and I would recommend using a scrub twice a week for most skin types. However if you have more sensitive skin and feel like twice a week is too abrasive then drop it down to once a week. It's really important to exfoliate your skin whether it's a scrub, mask or peel. Removing dead skin cells gently is beneficial for the appearance and texture of your skin. Application of makeup is also benefited from exfoliating your skin because the makeup is on new, clear skin rather than scaly, dead skin cells.
Allergy note: anyone with NUT allergies should avoid using these products as they both contain nuts as ingredients.
